The Red Sea

Cruise on the S.V. PANORAMA during the winter months. All 26 cabins are outside. A unique cruise because in a most relaxing way you see Biblical Origins in new light.

Day 1:
Arrive in Cairo and overnight.


Day 2:
Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Continue with a visit to the famous Archaeological Museum to view the finds from Tutankhamun’s Tomb, the Amarna Letters and Pharaoh Mernepta’s Stela (earliest mention of “Israel”) among other finds of great archaeological importance. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: :
Drive to Port Said at the Suez Canal to board the S.V. PANORAMA.
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon with talks in preparation for the ancient sites.

Day 4:
Arrive at Safaga and take a fascinating drive over the desert to the fertile Nile. Visit Dendera and continue to Luxor in order to explore the elegant Temple of Luxor. In the afternoon visit the vast Temple of Karnak followed by a dramatic sound and light. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 5:
Visit the Valley of the Kings and the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III.
In the afternoon visit the Luxor Museum and return to the ship.

Day 6:
Sail overnight to the resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh at the south end of the Sinai Peninsula. Visit the Monastery of St Catherine in a canyon at the foot of the traditional Holy Mountain. Overnight at Sharm El-Sheikh.

Day 7:
From Akaba drive to Petra. No site in the Middle East is as impressive for pure dramatic geographical location. Petra was the capital of the Nabataeans. Visit Temples, palaces and tombs hewn in the rock.
Overnight at Petra.

Day 8:
Drive to Amman. On the way visit Mt Nebo from where Moses viewed the “promised Land” and the Church with the famous Mataba Mosaic.
Overnight in Amman.

Day 9:
Fly home.
